These are the faces behind Youngsters of Uganda. Based all over the world (Uganda, Germany, the US) we try to support Francis and the kids as best we can. If you feel inspired by our mission and want to support our work in the long term, feel free to contact us!
Francis
A Ugandan native and founder of the organization. Francis himself experienced a lot of hardship in his childhood. Those experiences made him want to take action and help the kids in his village. Francis has been working at one of the local Safari lodges since 2014 which allows him to financially support the Youngsters. He manages the organization on site with others from the community and is a true hero and friend!
Hannes & Alex
Just two guys from Bavaria who were on a road trip through Uganda in August 2023. At the local safari lodge they met Francis. Moved by his story and motivated to help, the two of them have started to support the Youngsters in whatever way they can: By fundraising, wading through Ugandan as well as German burocracy, setting up donation processes and creating a transparent and reliable NGO-structure.
Vivian, Jeff and Kayla
Having met Francis in Uganda in 2016, the family stayed in touch and returned in 2020. Moved by Francis' drive and mission, both decided that they would love to help the children prompting the growth of the project. In the USA, Vivian and her daughter Kayla are raising donations for the Youngsters project.
Vanessa
Alex and Hannes met Vanessa in Masaka, Uganda. Despite already being engaged in NGO work and having a project of her own, Vanessa was eager to assist the Youngsters. She supports the organization with her valuable experience on the ground.
Martin
Meet Martin: Just a guy with a camera in his hand and curiosity in his heart. Martin strives to capture the beauty of nature for those who’ve never had the chance to experience it themselves. When Francis introduced the Youngsters, Martin's mission became clear: Sharing photos and insights that encourage others to support the Youngsters and their education.
Natascha
A professional (copy)writer and self-declared nature nerd. Nat loves traveling to remote places. Her goal: to uncover hidden stories. In Uganda, it was Francis and the Youngsters whose stories touched and inspired her the most. Which is why she decided right then and there that she would support the organization in all media and PR questions and beyond.
